well err.... budget u see... usually most starter only care for:
number crunch game
"how much MP? walao 10! wahhhhhhhhhhhhh confirm ish damn sharp"
Edit: ok checked DPR.. they just got some articles and sample gallery for this cam...
Confirmed, 7pt from 350D, but enhanced - by having centre to cross at 5.6!

I know, i just cannot justify dropping the ~$1k on it lar. Won't use it often enough to justify the cost. I beo very long already but keep resisting.

on 1000D, the AF module is transplanted from 350D. No cross, old module.. slower also.

Hmm?? dpreview says it has a centre f5.6 cross? So should be slightly better than 400D, just that less AF points. |

 | I think 9 gives u the "creative" edge on being able to focus on more objects. Personally 3 is too little for me, can't even focus in rule of thirds.... 7 is fine so long as its located on the 4 corners it always used to be n remove the sides or top. |

My personal wish is a plastic cheap EF-S ultra-wide that goes to 10mm, but i don't think its going to come true, ever.

I really don't think that will happen, I think 10-22 is already one of the better wide angles around across the brands, and at 10mm on a cropped body it gives 16mm, imho should be ok for most shots bah. |
