Singapore, August 26, 2008 – Research In Motion (RIM) today debuted the new BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone in Singapore. The BlackBerry Bold smartphone builds on the proven BlackBerry® smartphone platform with enhanced communications and multimedia capabilities, and is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world.

Featuring a premium design with a satin chrome finished trim and leatherette backplate, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone comes with a next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor, GPS and Wi-Fi® support. Content is displayed with stunning definition and clarity on its half-VGA (480x320 resolution at 217 ppi) color LCD display and BlackBerry customers experience unprecedented performance with faster Internet browsing, file downloading and video streaming*.
